About Me

I’m Rahman Saleem — a software tools reviewer and tech writer with over 7 years of hands-on experience testing and evaluating file management utilities, system tools, and open-source software.

“My approach is simple: use every tool myself, solve real problems with it, and then give you an honest verdict on what works and what doesn’t.”

I first discovered JJSplit when I needed to transfer a 4GB video file via email — and the attachment size limit got in the way. I tried three or four different tools, but JJSplit stood out as the most straightforward and reliable option. Since then, it has been my go-to utility for splitting large files.

I work primarily on Windows 11 and Ubuntu Linux, with occasional use of macOS. I have a particular appreciation for portable software — which is another reason JJSplit appeals to me. You can run it directly from a USB drive without installing anything.
